I found this... http://www.littlemachines.com/

It is a $10 program which converts PST's into mbox format, but as you 
say you can do that with Mozilla.  You *could* try saving each 
individual mail as a file (.eml format?) although I'm not sure if you 
could do them in bulk,  it's not ideal though.

I'd suggest also giving Outport a try, you haven't got much to loose.

If all else fails, depending on which version of Outlook it is, you 
could try running it under either Wine or CrossOver Office.
