Hi, My names Bodsda, this is my first time on the mailing list, although I have
been reading it for quite a while. I was just reading this and thought I'd let
you know about the wallpaper plugin for compiz. By default I believe this
plugin stops changes made be nautilus from being visible, which means you get
no icons or anything on your desktop. There are some patches but Im unaware of
how effective they are. A how to for achieving different wallpapers on each
virtual desktop for gnome (and kde) can be found here

Thanks, Bodsda

p.s: If i messed up the post or something stupid like that im sorry lol, just
point me to a mailing list tutorial :).

IIRC there's a compiz plugin that does this. Or, an X mod kind of
thing. I don't remember the name, but it was easy to get running and
worked.
