Yep, I think it's a good idea, The Register already did an article about 
Ubuntu the other day...

Only issue I can see is if news sites are doing something about it for 
instance, this morning and people head over to the Ubuntu site they'll 
see that 9.10 is still the default (unless they choose 10.04 RC).  I 
sometimes wonder if they're better off releasing it at 12am?

Personally I'm happy to wait, but I know it's been brought up on the 
list before about the release not actually happening until later on in 
the day.
