The current Gov have been making the right noises for Open Source for ages now:

Clearly it doesn't hurt to lobby your local MP but use some of their own rhetoric where possible.

George Osbourne reckoned he could save £600m using open source in a speech about 2 years ago... The Conservative have been on this case for sometime.
