Fairly rare for this list, frustration, yes.
I would not describe it as you do, though. When stuff just does not
work you can spend endless time and effort getting nowhere or worse.
My first install years ago (not Ubuntu then) was like total magic for
me, I was simply amazed that it all seemed to work. It was wonderful.
I later tried to get networking going with samba and it seemed like
trying to walk through treacle. Even with some pretty patient help on
forums, I failed. But I noticed that I was at a stage of early
experience and the people kind enough to help, or with sufficient
knowledge to help, seemed to be missing out some information. When I
asked for the extra very basic details, they seemed a bit surprised.....

I survived. I did however give up on samba mostly, until a good Ubuntu
came along!
