Hi -- what box would people recommend for setting up a small, cheap

It would pretty much only be needed to test deploys before we push them
live.
Thanks for any & all advice,
Doug.
If you don't need anything too fancy, the HP ProLiant MicroServer might
do the job. It's got a dual core AMD Athlon II Neo N37L CPU which runs
at 1.3GHz, 1GB Ram (upgradeable to about 8GB) and a 250GB hard drive
with 4 hot swap bays and a 5.25" bay which can house an extra hard drive
or optical drive, and an eSATA port.
It's £230 at the moment at eBuyer and it also has £100 cashback on it,
so after cash back you're looking at £130!

I have one myself, it's a nice little box, runs Ubuntu 10.04 LTS happily
with KVM on top running a VM (I have 3GB Ram in mine, I added 1 x
Kingston 2GB DDR3 ECC DIMM, quickfind code: 169804).
