Looks like some other errors in your debian/control file layout.

https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-controlfields.html is the
canonical (heu) documentation for what should be in there.

Hooray! I've figured it out! I just had to juggle the order of the entries in control and separate the two paragraphs. However now I'm getting a gpg signing error. How can I do this without needing that?
