However this doesn’t work: the window is briefly shown fullscreen, and then restored to its normal state. This is most likely because of this code snippet in webbrowser-app.qml (and its counterpart in webapp- container.qml): visibility: browser.currentWebview && browser.currentWebview.fullscreen ? Window.FullScreen : Window.AutomaticVisibility The value for 'visibility' needs to take into account the --fullscreen command-line switch.
