This still happens with kernel 2.6.30.6 I have tried a few things including using jockey to install the nvidia-glx-173 re-installing drivers a few times. Installing xserver-xorg-video-nouveau version 1:0.0.10~git+20090404+11be9a9-0ubuntu1
