Hi guys, will this somehow damage the LCD screen? I am using small LCD
colour in my embedded systems and they require proper shutdown or
termination before power is cutoff and I am aware that mobile phone
colour display also use these procedures before cutting off the power.
I'm afraid this might cause damage if not resolved. I did not experience
this using the Ubuntu 8.10. What I am curious about is that it never
happens if I use Ubuntu 9.04 live cd, it only happens when the OS is
installed on the hard drive. My system is HP Pavilion DV9812TX using
nVidia GeForce 8600M video.
