Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
Testing the preview release of Firefox 3.5 shows that when a tab is torn-off the window in order to create a new separate window, X does not create an entry for it in the taskbar (in Gnome), although it does allow the window to exist separately. This can create the following problem: Start Firefox Create two tabs Tear one tab off to create a new window Taskbar reports only the original window, not the new window Move new window to another desktop. Navigate away from that desktop and then back --> X will immediately change desktops to the one with the original window, denying access to that desktop until the original window is brought to the new window (reuniting them in the same taskbar entry). Closing or re-merging the windows will alleviate the problem between the X desktops. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg Testing the preview release of Firefox 3.5 shows that when a tab is - torn-off the window in order to create a new separate window, X does an - entry for it in the taskbar (in Gnome), although it does allow the - window to exist separately. + torn-off the window in order to create a new separate window, X does not + create an entry for it in the taskbar (in Gnome), although it does allow + the window to exist separately.
