I have a Targus AMU2601EUK usb mouse (lsusb says its an Agiler mouse), when plugged in it works only for a split second. Ive confirmed this on 2 different laptops with fresh installs of jaunty.
Today ive tried xserver-xorg-input-evdev (2.2.2-1) and -mouse (1.4.0-2) from karmic and its no different. The mouse works fine in gutsy. >From my Xorg.0.log it seems xinput is adding 2 devices whenever i plug it in, the first one being recognized as a mouse, the second one as a keyboard (?). I have a feeling (since the mouse works for a split second), that by adding the second device you block the first one, but then again, im no expert. lsusb only shows 1 Agiler mouse, hal-devices shows 3 different devices: usb_device_5b8_3091_noserial_if0_logicaldev_input usb_device_5b8_3091_noserial_if1_0_logicaldev_input usb_device_5b8_3091_noserial A cat on events, mice or mouse files gives me nothing. Its a small usb mouse with 3 btns + wheel. -- Agiler usb mouse not working on laptops https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274512 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-evdev in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
