I confirm this issue. I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 (with all updates
installed) on Asus EeePC 1000H. I see garbage In all text fields in
Skype (password, find contacts). I've used Ubuntu 8 on the same hardware
and everything was OK.
If you need any additional information, please ask. I'll provide with
pleasure.
