I've tested this fix on my Dell latitude E6410. The freezes after a sleep definitely got better, but still seeing some random freezes after my pc wakes up.
Before this patch, the freezes were constant but not anymore. Also the error in dmesg i915_hangcheck_elapsed disappeared.
