Okay, unfortunately usb-creator doesn't make this clear but you need to leave some space outside the persistent storage, for doing kernel updates such as installing drivers. Calling it "persistent storage" is a bit misleading because that sounds like it should include kernel persistence as well, but basically the stuff that goes into /boot lives outside the persistent storage file, so if you use up all the usb drive space for the storage file, there's not enough left for updating the /boot stuff. Anyway, see bug #685017 for more details and workarounds and such. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 685017 Jockey should warn on insufficient disk space in LiveCD environment, else get error "package nvidia-current 260.19.21-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1" * You can subscribe to bug 685017 by following this link: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/685017/+subscribe -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-173 in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/685280 Title: package nvidia-173 173.14.28-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
