Update - it's nothing to do with the screenlet. Upon shutdown and startup I had 50% cpu to Xorg showing in conky even after cancelling all the startups.
Opening terminal and doing sudo gdm restart clears it up - Xorg is at the top of the list with 3.96 to 4.4% cpu at present (this is with the TV and LCD monitors active). maybe a script to do a gdm restart after startup is the answer :-s this is crazy man. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294972 Title: MASTER: xorg high cpu usage, general system sluggishness _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
