Since you're on i686, /usr/lib32 packages aren't relevant. But it's weird that it's displaying those warnings, perhaps update-alternatives is doing something inappropriate.
Looking through the source code, my guess is it has something to do with the code Alberto recently added for cleaning up diversions. @Alberto, mind taking a look at this when you get a chance? Maybe the rules just need to test for lib32 beforehand. ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Alberto Milone (albertomilone) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/700331 Title: /usr/lib32/libvdpau_nvidia.so creation failed [PAE] _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
