Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-core

Some time ago I was using Jaunty with xorg-edgers repo added now I've switched
to Karmik.
I use 2 monitors, built in LVDS 1680x1050 and external 1920x1200. After in
Jaunty I received updated xserver-xorg-core including "Make RANDR 'set'
timestamps follow client specified time. Bug 21987." commit from upstream,
"xrandr --output VGA --right-of LVDS --auto" stopped working saying something
about "invalid config time". Then I switched to karmik, xrandr --verbose
--output VGA --right-of LVDS --auto doesn't produce any output and has no
effect on display.

** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
