The jaunty release provides a means for making a startup-usb stick with 
persistence, your xorg file needed would
be in /var/log/Xorg.0.log  and of course you can do dmesg 
>/home/ubuntu/dmesg.txt  to get it. I believe that is ubuntu
live home. you could also use gmail docs and just paste from your terminal 
screen into a empty file on google and
access it later from any  computer.
