Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
I am using acer travelMate 380 laptop, the graphic adapter is intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller. After upgrading to Natty 11.04 kernel 2.6.38.1/2, the login screen cannot display properly. and there is no way to login to the system. pls see screenshot picture attached. there is no such problem when I use the kernal 2-6-37-12. the bug report is collected based when bootup using 2-6-37-12. by the way, when I tried to use ubuntu-bug -p, it said the option is deprecated so I use the command without -p. thanks you so much. best regards, KJ ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-1ubuntu6 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.37-12.26-generic 2.6.37 Uname: Linux 2.6.37-12-generic i686 Architecture: i386 DRM.card0.LVDS.1: status: connected enabled: enabled dpms: On modes: 1024x768 edid-base64: DRM.card0.VGA.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: Date: Mon Feb 7 22:31:49 2011 DistUpgraded: Yes, recently upgraded Log time: 2010-11-14 17:50:28.349479 DistroCodename: natty DistroVariant: ubuntu DkmsStatus: vboxhost, 4.0.2, 2.6.37-12-generic, i686: installed GraphicsCard: Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Device [1025:0037] Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Device [1025:0037] InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Alpha i386 (20100324) Lsusb: Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0d62:a100 Darfon Electronics Corp.
