"It was very confusing, multiple dialogue boxes and I kept just pressing 'Report problem' on all of them until I got this bug report (I think the other reports were the same as this)."
Ah, sorry it was confusing. Doesn't sound like the tool was actually crashing though, just that you had a build up of reports. Perhaps some of them couldn't be filed for one reason or another, which can be irritating, but that's just sort of how the reporting tool works unfortunately. "The errors appeared after a reboot, the system has been freezing randomly with 11.04... I'll leave the bug status as 'Incomplete' for now, since I'm not sure of the details. Next time it happens I'll record exactly what happens and re-open." Thanks. Actually, the fact that it's been randomly freezing is the clue I need. I will forward this bug report upstream. In the future if you run into another freeze, please do record exactly what happens - that can be very useful information - and if possible file a *new* bug report (we can dupe it to this one if it's identical). My suspicion is that this is a "random freeze" type of bug and will be impossible to narrow to a specific set of steps to reproduce. But the more automatically captured gpu dumps we get, the better our chance of solving it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/718767 Title: [i945gme] GPU lockup 1d5b69ea (ESR: 0x00000001 IPEHR: 0x00007272) _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
