There isn't enough information provided in this bug report to be certain (p.s. use 'ubuntu-bug xorg' when reporting X bugs!) however this smells a lot like a kernel bug to me. I'm refiling as 'linux'.
I would suggest re-testing against the current development version (natty) and filing bugs via the above command, which will ensure the necessary debug data is collected. ** Package changed: xkeyboard-config (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu) ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #34367 http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34367 ** Also affects: linux via http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34367 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Changed in: linux Importance: Unknown => Undecided ** Changed in: linux Status: Unknown => New ** Changed in: linux Remote watch: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #34367 => None -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xkeyboard-config in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377175 Title: Volume Up button locks screen _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
