Same kind of behavior here : * Radeon HD 4670 [RV730XT] * Ubuntu 10.10 32bit * fglrx from Ubuntu * left screen 1920x1200 * right screen 1280x1024
I can configure screen with the catalyst tool, with the right screen rotate left. The result is apply directly but when I boot (or restart Xorg) the computer is unresponsive (like a kernel panic), no keyboard, no network (can't ssh access). Then I save a conf with catalyst tool without rotation and reboot : it works ! So my workaround is to push on the start of my gnome session the following command : "xrandr --output DFP2 --rotate left" Thanks xrandr, I can dynamically rotate my screen and the result is here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/730278 Title: Xorg fails to start with fglrx in mult-monitor mode with right-rotated monitor _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
