Public bug reported: Following the test case from here: http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/Hardware/X/ProprietaryDrivers#Monitor%20HotPlugging
The second monitor isn't detected even after reboot, running xrandr confirms that. Running: xrandr --output DVI-0 --auto --left-of VGA-0 --auto fails as expected. Using NVIDIA X Server Settings works right away (for extended monitor). http://xorg.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/result/5154/423 ** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/737349 Title: Failed to detect second monitor _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
