It seems that the driver was installed using the installer from AMD's website without even generating the deb packages. Our packages detected that and tried to trigger a removal of whatever the installer installed but it wasn't possible to do so because the system had been changed.
This is not a bug in the packages but rather something that's expected to fail and warn users as our packages are not guaranteed to work if you used the installer manually (i.e. without generating deb packages from the installer). ** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/748344 Title: package fglrx (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1 _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
