Dear Mr. Harrington, I always have difficulties with the screen resolution on my Dell Dimension 2400 PC and I have been playing with Xorg.conf. I think I copied Xorg.conf from a backup of 10.10 because I did not find it in 11.04. I also installed another graphics card in my PC. Maybe this caused the problem I reported. I tried to reproduce the problem and noticed the following. After rebooting the PC it takes about a minute after booting is completed before I get the error message. Initially I thought it had something to do with the fact that I check for updates after I boot, but that has nothing to do with it. If I just wait long enough I get the error. Maybe I should install a fresh version of 11.04 and let you know the result. Would that help you?
