It is possible reproduce on 10.04 (lucid) With supported nvidia driver 256.52 it works fine. With PPA buntu-x-swat/x-updates driver 270.29-0ubuntu1~lucid~xup2 it fails. It looks like problem on nvidia drivers, but I am not able to find any similar bug report on http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=14
