Somehow sounds similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/95874 or https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/436530 but those are old bugs. Unfortunately I can't reproduce the problem each time.
