Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
On natty, Running xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.14.0-0ubuntu4 I have a 1680x1050 display and a 1440x900 display. I'm trying to get the smaller one into portrait mode. It works fine normally, but with compiz or gnome-shell (and xcompmgr iirc), the smaller display (whether it's primary or secondary) just looks like static, that varies a bit based on what's getting displayed on either. Screenshot looks normal. 2.6.38-8 (from ubuntu natty), "ATI Technologies Inc RV620 LE [Radeon HD 3450]" Photo of display: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=46129 (rotated with xrandr, but not physically rotated (yet) ) X log: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=46130 ** Affects: xserver-xorg-driver-ati Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #36644 http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36644 ** Also affects: xserver-xorg-driver-ati via http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36644 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/772111 Title: Rotation while composite enabled results in garbage on smaller of 2 displays _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
