After I saw the messages from Bryce Harrington just above, I was reluctant to download a whole new .iso and install the OS from scratch, having done a fresh install only the previous week.
Instead, I followed instructions on updating *just* the Intel graphics driver at http://webupd8.blogspot.com/2009/06/new-ubuntu-intel-graphics- drivers.html (those instructions also cite Bryce) and have been test- driving for over a week now. The graphical corruption has completely vanished, and I have had no problems or side-effects. -- [Q45] Display corruption on Intel chipset https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362919 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
