Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
During Natty certification testing on the intel based Thinkpad Edge 13, a test is performed that cycles through the various supported resolutions using xrandr to set each one in sequence. After a suspend/resume is conducted, that test is run again to verify that the resolutions still work after a sleep cycle. On the Edge 13, this killed the GUI leaving only a black screen with a mouse pointer. I had to drop to a shell and manually kill X to get a working UI again. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774551 Title: [ThinkPad Edge 13 (Intel)] xrandr changing resolutions after suspend kills GUI _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
