Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Probably a duplicate of #757475 Xorg freezes completely. Only the mouse moves. I can switch to a terminal (CTRL + ALT + Fx) and type commands there. Everything works. Even all the application inside Xorg run perfectly, however the display is frozen (well except from the mouse). I can run compiz --replace from ssh, but that doesn't change anything. Same happens with metacity. Currently, the only way to "recover" is restart xserver, either from bash or with CTRL+ALT+Backspace. Of course this kills the current session. Also, apport-gpu-error-intel.py doesn't do anything. I had to comment out some lines before creating a crash report. I am attaching the report separately. I am using Ubuntu 11.04 with gnome and compiz as the window manager.
