My problem is solved by now. I do have output on my 2nd monitor (VGA). I did not install "natty" (i think), but with very much help I was able to remove all of the leftovers of the proprietary graphics driver. We later updated the Kernel from 2.6.33 something into 2.6.38-8...My second monitor started working immediately. I guess this bug report can be removed...
