Timo - would it not be possible to put this driver in universe, as a service for users who still have this chip? I think it will become less relevant with time as I've not seen any newer laptops/netbooks having using SiS 671, so it might just happen that when it is finally merged with the FD.o, next to no-one might acutally need it.
