Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
After reboot, entered username and password and Unity comes up horribly
distorted. Alt+F2 xterm is usable but funky. Install fglrx, reboot and
Unity is disabled but Gnome runs perfectly. (I really dislike the Fisher
Price interface anyway.) Happy ending but the average user would not
make it through the night.
