I have this issue on a desktop using an integrated GeForce 6150SE nForce 430, using the current NVidia proprietary driver. I tried the workaround discussed above for increasing the frame buffer size in my BIOS settings (from 64MB to 128MB in my case), and it worked for me.
Between this and wireless not wanting to work on my desktop, this is the most hardware-related trouble I've had with Ubuntu in a long time. But I do like Unity, which runs with no problems on my laptop with Intel graphics. Hoping this gets fixed soon. ** Attachment added: "nvidia-bug-report.log.gz" https://bugs.launchpad.net/nvidia-drivers-ubuntu/+bug/753144/+attachment/2126164/+files/nvidia-bug-report.log.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/753144 Title: focused, or maximized windows blank _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
