Just another "me too" to the pile; upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04 on my P4
Shuttle X51 box and find that yet again, a ubuntu upgrade has broken
something -- they always do, every single one has broken something on my
system! As with all the others, I can run gnome2 and the Nvidia driver
reports "activated but not in use"

ajft@fafnir:~$ glxinfo | grep render
direct rendering: No (If you want to find out why, try setting
LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose)
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce FX 5200/AGP/SSE2
ajft@fafnir:~$ lspci|grep -i nVidia
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200]
(rev a1)
