> What can we do to convince upstream (i.e. Intel) to add this back again?
Please file a bug upstream with the request to re-add this feature if you'd like it. I wouldn't bother describing it as a regression; it's been this way for quite some time now. The old zaphod mode was a total hack-around. You will need to make the case about why you need it; most of what zaphod did can be done using xrandr multi-head functionality now; it's possible whatever end result you're aiming for can be attained some other way. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- [IGC 2e12] Can't enable 'zaphod mode' with intel X server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/399613 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
