[The issue that is prompting installation of -nvidia is periodic screen corruption with -nouveau:] <jasoncwarner_> what I'm seeing is this my screen flickers, then I can't click on any window, then I get graphic defects in the indicators and active window what I need to do then is grab the active window and move it around the display to get it to redraw this happens maybe once or twice a day <jasoncwarner_> the annoying thing is it seemingly happens at random
