You have been subscribed to a public bug: After getting the latest updates in lucid, including the 2.6.32-20 kernel, and rebooting the machine, X only started in low graphics mode. After I started to investigate it seemed like the nvidia kernel module failed to build. I tried to reinstall nvidia-current (apt-get autoremove nvidia-current, apt-get install nvidia-current) but it failed with the following message.
root@thor:~# apt-get -f install Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Thank you for your help. Please let me know if I can give you any more relevant debugging information. This machine was upgraded from 9.04 to 10.04, for all that it matters.
