Hi Susan, I have several questions I need to know to better understand your problem:
1. Your bug report is missing some of the standard files that should be included with X bug reports. Did you file this bug using the command 'ubuntu-bug xorg'? (I ask because if you did, we may have a bug in the script.) 2. Run the command 'apport-collect 811856' 3. Please attach your /var/log/dpkg.log file 4. Please downgrade to the earlier version of xserver-xorg-input- synaptics (probably 1.3.99+git20110116.0e27ce3a-0ubuntu15) and verify the bug goes away.
