Public bug reported: Bug filed per Question #165710.
The HDMI display periodically goes blank for up to 3 seconds. This occurs at random intervals -- No particular application is running at that time. The second issue is the poor quality of the text (appears out of focus) and poor video quality. Graphic images display without distortion. I have changed monitor settings (through monitor menu) without correction. Screen shot of partial screen is attached. I am more than happy to supply whatever information you require. Please let me know how I can assist you. ~Rick ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-4ubuntu7.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-10.46-generic 2.6.38.7 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-10-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, bailer, detection, composite, opengl, decor, mousepoll, vpswitch, regex, animation, snap, expo, move, compiztoolbox, place, grid, imgpng, gnomecompat, wall, ezoom, workarounds, staticswitcher, resize, fade, unitymtgrabhandles, scale, session, unityshell] CompositorRunning: compiz Date: Mon Jul 25 11:58:27 2011 DistUpgraded: Log time: 2011-04-28 14:15:38.033186 DistroCodename: natty DistroVariant: ubuntu GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0102] (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device [8086:2002] InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.38-10-generic root=UUID=8b08ff66-e3c1-4692-8b70-82c91e4dac1c ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 Renderer: Unknown SourcePackage: xserver-xorg-video-intel UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-04-29 (87 days ago) dmi.bios.date: 11/15/2010 dmi.bios.vendor: Intel Corp. dmi.bios.version: BLH6710H.86A.0076.2010.1115.1959 dmi.board.asset.tag: To be filled by O.E.M. dmi.board.name: DH67BL dmi.board.vendor: Intel Corporation dmi.board.version: AAG10189-204 dmi.chassis.type: 3 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnIntelCorp.:bvrBLH6710H.86A.0076.2010.1115.1959:bd11/15/2010:svn:pn:pvr:rvnIntelCorporation:rnDH67BL:rvrAAG10189-204:cvn:ct3:cvr: version.compiz: compiz 1:0.9.4+bzr20110606-0ubuntu1~natty2 version.ia32-libs: ia32-libs 20090808ubuntu13 version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.23-1ubuntu6 version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 7.10.2-0ubuntu2 version.libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental: libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental N/A version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 7.10.2-0ubuntu2 version.xserver-xorg: xserver-xorg 1:7.6+4ubuntu3.1 version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.14.0-0ubuntu4.1 version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-4ubuntu7.1 version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:0.0.16+git20110107+b795ca6e-0ubuntu7 ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug compiz-0.9 natty running-unity ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/816099 Title: Natty HDMI Display Issues To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/816099/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
