Hi Dave, it's good to hear you're able to reproduce this one reliably. Please uninstall ia32-libs, reboot, and then attempt to reproduce this bug (you can reinstall ia32-libs later). I want to rule it out as a possible cause. ia32-libs includes 32-bit builds of various packages and sometimes those packages get out of sync with the 64-bit versions; I want to see if there is an old mesa or something in your ia32-libs causing this bug.
