Public bug reported: In oneiric (at time of writing) fglrx is successfully built and installed in kernel (3.0.0-9) but xorg fails to start... getting to console (sometimes system simply stuck on boot) an lsmod return both radeon and fglrx modules active in the kernel... when starting (building from ati, the screen is "out of range").
