Public bug reported: Booting of X doesn't succeed. Instead I get a CLI-prompt. I've I type startx, then X starts, but at least two things are wrong: Firstly, the layout is not the lubuntu-layout. Instead it's a standard lxde-layout with the gnome-icon-theme. Secondly, I have to mount usb-sticks manually via lxterminal. In pcmanfm it just doesn't work (I get a message 'not autorized'). I have also tried the lubuntu-11.10-beta1-alternate-i386.iso and after installation I had none of these problems. I tried to remaster lubuntu, added some packages and removed some, and on one computer the problems dissappeared, on another it got worse (could not get to X even if i typed startx). I'll attach the files dmesg, syslog and Xorg.0.log of the computer booting the standard lubuntu-11.10-beta1-desktop-i386.iso, where the situation after remastering got worse. I don't know if this may be related to bug #791139. I'll let it boot for about 20 minutes and see what happens, so I may update this report afterwards.
