Scott, I've just uploaded a new version of xorg (which builds x11-common), could you verify if you have /etc/gdm left after the update? I hope it'll get removed on upgrade now that there are no conffiles left in the directory.
Otherwise the x11-common.preinst script would need changing, and it's a bit scary to remove the dir and make sure it's not used etc.. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/820370 Title: Tries and fails to remove /etc/gdm To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/820370/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
