I know that the nvidia GL libaries conflict with the system ones. My point is, that the power of the debian packaging system should sort that out for me automatically by having an explicit conflict set so that when I install the ATI driver the nvida one is automatically purged. That is how conficts are supposed to work in debian packaging.
What I don't want to do is spend an hour investigating when it could be done automatically, and I don't want the next person who swaps out an nvida card for an ATI one to go through the same pain either. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- nvida Xorg binary drivers conflict with oss ati driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/408077 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
