You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 gnome-control-center: Installed: 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status This is a wishlist item, or maybe a "I wish it worked like x". When using "disable touchpad while typing," gnome disables the WHOLE touchpad while typing ANYTHING, including a Ctrl or Alt key. This makes it very difficult to do Ctrl clicks. Some may disagree, but it seems like it would be preferable to me to either A) allow "button" clicks while typing but not the (possibly accidental) "tap to clicks" B) don't disable clicks when function keys are pressed Maybe an option for one or both of these is in order. ** Affects: gnome-control-center Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: New -- disable while typing should have option to not disable on Ctrl or Alt keys https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/471938 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
