Public bug reported: Do not switch the language (tried different options, ctrl+alt, ctrl+shift, CapsLock, etc...) provided that at this time any key is pressed. In Ubuntu 10.xx it worked.
It may not seem a problem, but when you are typing quickly and often need to switch the language, the frequent failure is very annoying. my /etc/default/keyboard XKBMODEL="pc105" XKBLAYOUT="us,ru" XKBVARIANT=",winkeys" XKBOPTIONS="grp:caps_toggle,grp:lswitch,grp_led:caps" ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: xorg 1:7.6+7ubuntu7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu3 Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Oct 15 18:23:00 2011 InstallationMedia: Lubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release i386 (20111012) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=ru_UA:ru LANG=ru_UA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xorg UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 oneiric -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/875114 Title: problematic language switching To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/875114/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
