This issue is still valid IMHO. I was only able to fix it by doing the following hack: * renaming /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so to /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so.backup * creating a link /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so --> /usr/lib/nvidia-current/xorg/libglx.so Apparently, Xorg is not honoring nvidia drivers. i tried several fixes proposed in forums, such as blacklisting nouveau (I even removed it completely), but Xorg loads the incorrect GLX module at startup, no matter how hard I tried to point it to the nvidia driver in xorg.conf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/810647 Title: [10de:08a0] nvidia isn't loading To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/810647/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
